Our first stop was Cancun, Mexico. There we had signed up for a Dolphin encounter. This was Justin and I’s favorite shore excurtion by far. We had a full 30+ minute with a 2 yr old dolphin just our family and another family of three.
All four of us got to “play” with the dolphin. Justin helped both the kids and I couldn’t manage taking pics while holding Luke so most of the pics are of me.
Shaking your hands out in front made the dolphin “talk”.
Mommy kissing the dolphin!
Elizabeth touching it. She was very excited about doing this and jumped right in despite the very cool water!
Luke on the other hand wasn’t too fond of the cold water or the dolphin. He spent most the time hanging on the fence or sitting on the dock.
Logan boxing out his sister to get closer to the dolphin.
Having seen dolphins many times at the beach it was really a fun thing to get so up close and personal with them. It was amazing how soft their skin was.
After the dolphins we had the chance to play in the pool.
The water is so beautiful!
We found a few friends wondering around the gardens.
And got to see some fish in the lagoon.
And to top it off, we got to see a sea lion show. We told the kids they could get a souvenir before getting back on the boat. Elizabeth went to shopping like most girls – bracelets , wooden toy instruments, etc. Logan however was not impressed with any of the “local” items. It was painful and after too many shops with the same thing we told him he’d have to wait until another stop.
