Baby Jackson predictions

So as the big AU fans that we are baby Jackson is dressed in his AU cap. After the nurses took him for some check ups they came back with the hat in a biohazard bag. Baby Jackson had somehow peed on it. Needless to say that's how AUs season is going.

Logan was elated to see Jackson for the first time.  The sparkle in his eye and smile on his face was priceless.

The bed wasn’t big enough for all of us!

Luke grew up overnight.  You leave your baby to go to the hospital and he comes to visit a big boy.  He has done surprisingly well so far with adjusting with the new baby being around.

Mother Hen can’t get enough of him.  She was a little timed at the hospital – just a lot to take in for her but she is smoothing him in love now that we are home.

And the Grandparents tried to fight for a few minutes too!

Exhausted but happy Mama!  Jackson scored high on his first tests with 9 and 10 Apgar's.

We kept commenting on how tiny he was and the dr was like he’s really not that small.  This hospital doesn’t do the assessment right away in the room so we had to wait a few hrs for the the weight.  He wasn’t as small as we would have guessed but was the smallest of our four.  But it’s all right in line with their arrival, Jackson coming right at 38 wks is also our earliest.

We also thought he had a lot of hair on his head, for our kids.  But looking back at pics it looks very similar to Elizabeth.  Try as we may we will always compare our kids!

Welcome, Baby Jackson

So we went back Thursday afternoon and my blood pressure was still elevated. So they induced…

And at 9:06, this bundle of joy was born.

37 weeks

Baby update...

Blood pressure was up again 140/86. Dr Is concerned of pre eclampsia even though I've had no other symptoms.

So the plan is to go back Thursday for a blood pressure check and of its still high theyll induce. I'll be 38 wks Friday.

I asked are we talking inducing Friday or should I bring a bag. She said bring a bag and your husband! And put your feet up until then.

So...my house is a wreck and I'm not suppose to be running around cleaning tomorrow before Grammy shows up.

Baby Jackson did allow mom to make it through the fair weekend though so I can't complain!

We are all ready. Elizabeth told me today she was tired of people asking if her mom had had the baby yet!

36 wks

How far along? 36 weeks and 4 days

Baby's Size? Crenshaw melon (whatever that is?), 19 in and 5.75lbs

Weight Gain? 24 lbs to date

Maternity clothes? Oh yes! Having to make sure the tummy is covered. And I have a helper who is sure to tell me, "Mommy, I can see your tummy!".

Stretch marks? No new ones.

Belly Button in or out? The turkey timer is starting to pop
Sleeping? Sleeping in the recliner more and more.  Hips just can't stay in bed all night.
Foods I am loving? Nothing special lately. Lots of water though - I think it's been the heat
Foods I'm hating? As always... nothing!

Movement? Yes.

Best moment this week?

Symptoms? The "waddle"
Gender? It's a boy! And every stranger guesses boy because of my basketball belly.

What I miss ? Energy, moving around with ease.  I've slowed down a good bit and it's just not me!

What I'm looking forward to? Getting the fair behind us so we can focus on baby coming!  Ok, so we just thought we'd get the fair behind us.  We are trying that again this weekend!

Emotions: Anxious...not ready...really hoping I hold off a week or two.

Side Note: I was 2cm, 70% effaced, and -1 station...all this means...i'll have a baby within the next couple weeks.   Could be tomorrow could be two weeks.  Its the fun and frustrating part of having a baby!
