New Orleans Children's Museum

Elizabeth's PreK class had a field trip last Friday to the New Orleans Children's Museum. Mom was lucky enough to be able to tag along!
Waiting to head back to school.
With February being Presidents month they had themed projects around such as molding a white house with clay, drawing Mount Rushmore and decorating your own plate like the presidential plates!

Bubble room always a favorite!

Elizabeth loved building with these blocks, we must have come back around to this table three times!

But when asked what the favorite part of the trip was most of the class agreed...the bus ride! For E and most of her class this was their first school bus ride!

Soccer

After one try to get the ball, E cried the rest of the time because it ws too hard and the purple team was too mean, according to her.
Coaches two rules...go that way and no hands!

Not so sure about this.

Coach and the kids...goal for week two...no crying!

Circle of Life

In the past 24hrs we added one new precious member to one side of my family and lost a great one on the otherside.

Uncle Horace and Elizabeth back when she was a baby.
Thanksgiving a year ago in Lake Placid. Aunt Lucile and Uncle Horace lived in Naples my whole childhood so they were like my third set of grandparents and with them being in town I saw them on a much more regular basis. As a kid I remember Uncle Horace was always "stealing" my nose! That was his "thing"! He was always a kind, gentle spirit and will be missed by all who loved him.

And this precious little buddle was born yesturday, Alyssa Jaymes Baker. She's the 2o something great grandchild on the Miller's side!

Playing at lunch

It's Finally Sunny!

Our first "baby" will be ten yrs old in a couple months!
And on the same day this one will turn 5 - WOW. Lately every time I look at her I realize how she is growing up and no longer a baby or toddler :(

Her trying to "pose".

Heart breaker!

What are you looking at?
And you may be asking where's the pictures of the other son...well he ran inside the sack and said no, your not taking my picture!

Touchdown

When it's cold we resort to indoor ball!

Luke falls down!

Luke was busy taking steps all night tonight. Of course he didn't want to perform for the camera so this is all we got!

Jump!

Elizabeth jumping for heart disease.

Bundled up

We shouldn't have to bundle up like this in S La!

I love you!

I listen to K-Love alot in the car - that is when i'm not listening to GeoTrax, Strawberry Short Cake, Shek, etc. It's my relaxing, decompression time. This week they've been talking about National Marrige week this week as it leads to Valetines Day. I know I often take for granted my own marriage. Don't get me wrong...I thank God everyday for my husband, kids and all the blessing we have been given. But with three little kids we don't have a ton of couple time. We are lucky to have a strong relationship so even when we have our spats they are short lived.
I remember a Sunday schoold teacher giving a lesson on love and marriage back in high school that has always stuck with me for some reason. They explained relationships like a triangle, husband, wife and God and if both seek God and draw closer to God they are in turn growing closer to each other. It's hard work sometimes but we try to keep God front in center of our family and some days we are better than others.
All this is to say "I love you", Justin and am so very happy we are "we".

Mama's boys

Growing boy

We've caught Luke crawling around on his feet, butt in the air, the past few days. I guess the bricks are getting to his knees after six months!
We finally found something Luke spit back out - lettuce. That was after trying it numerous time just to make sure! This boy can EAT! Here his working on Mexican...black olives, ground beef, bell peppers, cheese, tomatoes. Our other kids are good eaters but he still amazes us with his eating habits.

Practice

Less than week away! I'm not sure who's more excited Mom, Dad or the kids. Logan and Elizabeth will both be start soccer next Sat! So of course we had to get some practice in...funny note on the net...Justin bought it two years ago for E's birthday then decided not to break it out, mostly because our back yard was under water at the time. We moved it, still in the original box but decided it was time to break it out!

Lots of love

This house has had lots of love!

Black

Logan recently got this new rain jacket and insisted on wearing it.
Any kids dream come true! A dump truck in their back yard, dumping a dirt pile that they can go climb and play in!!

I'm not sure who had more fun playing in the dirt but it was fun for all!
We spent most of Sat outside playing/working. We just about got all the flower beds cleaned and mulched. All that is left is the garden...the real reason for the dirt. We are basically doubling our garden's from the past. Summer = fresh veggies! Speaking of which we are still eating brussel sprouts and broccoli!
And Luke has had his fair share of fun in the back yard too! Over are the days he lasts long in the stroller so we've been letting him down to explore the out doors more and more. He eats dirt, leaves and acorns here and there but hey that's all good for a growing boy - right!?! Not so good was the doggie poo we found him putting in his mouth the other day! How gross is that - I about gag just thinking about it. Of course he screamed when Justin took it away but we do have our limits!

100 years old!

Elizabeth's school celebrated the 100th day of the school year last Friday. Her class dressed up like they were all 100 years old! I think she's the cutest 100 yr old I've seen!

Luke - 10 Months

That's right. Can you believe it? I can feel the year mark knocking on the door. As you can tell Luke was less than thrilled to be having his pictures taken. I could not get him to corporate to save my life.
It took his first step last night! It was one tiny step but it was a step. He's been thinking about it for a while but seems to have that caution his sister had. This next month will tell!
