Elizabeth has gotten to just the rigth height that she "clips" her head often running around the island.
It's hard to get a real smile these days unless you just "catch" her at the right moment.
This is Elizabeth "posing". Her next pose was sticking her belly out and it wasn't becoming so the photo shoot ended.

Lazy Sunday afternoon

As if doing the army crawl doesn't work out his upper body enough, he's started doing alot of push ups also.
I love it when Elizabeth is taking a nap and I have my parents to myself!!
Why did dad put this silly hat on me?? Does Elizabeth now I'm playing with it?

Make up??

What's this black stuff you never wear, Mom?? - Little E experimenting with the mascara

Hopscotch

Ever since visiting my friend in Naples, Molly, Elizabeth has been talking about hopscotch. Molly's daughter had an indoor mat that they could play down the hall of their home. You can see Elizabeth still has some learning to do but she burned off a lot of energy as did Mommy and Daddy.

What's going on with Logan?

A few milestone updates...yesterday I heard him playing in his crib when I got up so I went in to check him. There he was sitting up in his crib play with the musical turtle! So he can sit up on his own if he wants. He's been pulling up to his knees on everything so I'm guessing that's how he managed. Good thing Daddy lowered the mattress the night before!

Speaking of Daddy...Logan has been on a "dada" jag the past couple days which makes Justin day. And Elizabeth gets the biggest kick out of Logan "talking"...too bad he really doesn't know what he's talking about.

And last but not least in case anyone has noticed Logan's bump on his head...while Elizabeth has provided a few blows to the head...that's not the cause of the bump. It's a calcified blood clot. It's been there since birth and the doctors say it will eventually (12-15months) be absorbed by his body. In the mean time, he doctor suggested he grow some hair. But it appears he is headed down the same road Elizabeth took in the hair department so it will be a few more months before we see much of that.

Army Crawl

Maybe one day he'll learn to crawl on his knees but for now this gets him where he wants to go.

6 weeks and counting

I was in another room when I heard Elizabeth shouting...War Eagle...and this is what I found. She was trying to teach her brother how to cheer for Auburn!! She has learned well and knows what's important!

PS: We "broke" the camera so it's working again. Logan has his army crawl down...when he wants something he goes for it. So hopefully we'll get some more video over the weekend.

Left overs

I was going through some pics from our trip to Naples and ran across a few more i thought I'd post. Funny thing is we didn't even take our camera with us!!
Happy, proud grandparents return from a hot evening stroll to the beach.
This is what one day at the beach does to the little one.
Grammy and Little E checking out the beach.
Elizabeth couldn't take her eyes off the fireworks...you can tell from the expression she wasn't sure of them either.
Logan spent a good amount of time with his Crab during the trip.

Crabs

On the way home we decided to swing by Tony's and get some crabs for the first time this season. We'll be glad when Elizabeth can shell her own!

LSU MOA

LSU Museum of Art has "Second Sat" program to promote arts to kids. It's a free open house event so we thought we'd check it out. Its inside the A/C making it great summer fun!
Elizabeth choose the butterfly out of about a dozen face painting they were doing.
Before heading home they let the kids get a "treat". It was just a big bowl of hard candy. Elizabeth selected two dumb dumb - her favorite.
This pretty much sums up the adventure for Logan.
Close up.

We had to pull Elizabeth away from the mirror.

Elizabeth meticulously creating her work of art!

Who goes there?

Our loyal companion protecting intruders.
Who needs a bed...Elizabeth took a nap in her tent yesturday.
Poor Auburn doesn't get nearly the attention she use to...well the kind of attention she likes. But she has done great with both kids and all their little friends.

Snoozing

Just like his sister use to do, Logan likes to wedge his head into the corner of the bed. He has given his mama a break this past week and is back into sleeping through the night again!!!

Happy 7 months!!

Can we say happy!
I sat him down on the chair with the ball and he went to town pounding on it like a drum.
Well no crawling to report yet but he's defiantly getting around. His first tooth is still too small to get a picture of but we'll work on that.

More Forth of July Fun!

Not so sure about the sparklers
As close as Logan got to any of the fun.
As is tradition for the 4th Beth and Scott, along with Grant and Clark, joined us for 4th of July fun.
When's the parade going to start Papa??
While the Naples parade wasn't quite what our little "cajun" babies are use to - they still got a few beads, some candy, and an American flag!

Happy 4th of July!!

A special picture just for Papa.

Yum yum sweet potatoes...faster, faster Grammy.
Won't sleep at night but can't stay awake during meal time!

Great grandma Snell

Great grandma Snell came to meet Logan Wednesday, along with Flossie and Howard. It was great seeing them all!

Lime in the coconuut

Elizabeth insisted that Papa get her a coconut from the trees.

After a little work, Elizabeth tasting the "meat" from the coconut!

Which one looks the best??? Elizabeth picking out which coconut will go home with her.

War Paints

Elizabeth with her new bath paints - aka "war paints".
