Project

We are in the process of adding a patio...the kids have loved it.
Logan is all boy and loves to see how dirty he can get.

No, I'm not putting dirt back into the hole dad just dug.

The kids loved watching them poor the concrete.

Last day of preschool

Our big girl finished her first year of preschool last week.
Looks like Logan is ready for next fall!

Kids behave well when waiting on food.

Still alive

We are all fine...it's just been a crazy few weeks with end of school, beach trip and quickly back to the grind! I'm sad to report we didn't take any pics at the beach...but we did have a blast. Despite a little storm in the gulf we were still able to play in the sand and in the pools.

The down side of the trip...we pulled into the driveway to find all our rugs in the garage. First sign of a problem. Then we walk in to our chairs on the table top and all the small stuff piled on tables - yikes. I immediately call our friends who graciously stepped up to babysit Auburn since her regular sitter was going to Disney. I'm told basically the first morning they came over to let Auburn out and found a brown mess everywhere - can you say gross!!! Patrick found it and did round one of clean up and then Ashely so kindly came over and mopped my floors. They have no pets and after this incident probably won't any time soon! Big thanks and a thousands apologies.

So despite the "issues" at home we had a great weekend!

Helmet head

Logan would put the hat on over his eyes and then ride around until he ran into something, then laugh like crazy. He thought it was hilarious.

Signs of summer

I found this little bird nestled in our bricks in the back yard. I'll have to check it out tomorrow but I believe it may be nesting.

The aroma of jasmine is taking over the back yard.
Calalilly
Raspberry blooms...speaking of which our neighbor graciously gave us a tub of blackberries the other night and her daughter and Elizabeth made their selves sick eating at least a pint!

After two year we finally have a few blueberries!

Tomato jungle! Not sure how we are going to harvest them all.

Our first baby cucumber of the season.

Nesting, bees and more

Our neighbor kindly came over a took a family pic for us Sunday.
Sunday night we were leaving and I saw something in the tree of our cul -de-sac. We drove toward it and discovered this! Elizabeth and I are both allergic so we stayed clear. Luckily when we woke up this morning it appears to have moved on. Scary!

Project one...Justin started painting while I was in Naples and it's been a slow job over the past several weeks but we finally got it back together. I'm happy with how it turned out. Now i just have to find something for the bare walls!

Project two...rearranging photos in the kids hallway. I ad seen this "wall art" online but then ran across it in a local store and just had to try it. It was very easy to apply.
No I'm not pregnant, nesting just sounded like a good word!

Cochon de Lait

Yes, it's a beer chugging contest.

It was HOT!! And nothing but a snow cone would do...it melted in minutes.

Elizabeth's first roller coaster!

Cochon de Lait = Pig roast
Smiley...he was not all smiles while Elizabeth was riding the rides. He was too small to go on them (Elizabeth was just tall enough thanks to her pony tail). By the second ride he was throwing a tantrum wanting to get on it.

Trucker E

Buzzing around

The pit

It's all in the form...

Ok, so the soccer ball doesn't real fit into the picture here but it was easier for them to aim at and they tried every ball out! Next year Elizabeth can really start T ball.
He cracks us up with his "stance". Everytime he starts squatting before swinging.

And good follow through.

Out takes

Is there anything worse than taking two kids to get photos taken? I'm thinking NOT!!! It wore me and them out. One day I'll drop the big bucks with a real photographer but until then we went with the box story. Yes, we did get a few good pics, after they brought in reinforcements.

The tag team started giving out "hi fives" and "hooting" which had the kids, me and everyone else in the place laughing.
This is what Elizabeth truly thought of it.

Logan was all about posing just not how anyone wanted him to.

Escape was the name of the game...

Chairs and benches were our only hope in getting pics of them together.

Logan is screaming at this point, not laughing.

Sibling love so sweet but so short.

Cinco de Mayo

We had the play group over for the second annual Cinco de Mayo party earlier this week.
I love me some black beans! Both our kids must have some Mexican in them as much as they like salsa, avacado, black benas and tacos.
Taking in the excitement of the pinata.

Elizabeth taking her turn at the bird.

The scury! Elizabeth was very selective in what she took the time to pick up.

Good night

This is what Elizabeth picked out to go to bed in the other night!

Bounce

So these are little dated...about three weeks ago we had Elizabeth's birthday party with her friends. Despite the rain and rescheduling we finally were about to make it happen.
Elizabeth bounced pretty much all day.
Cupcake cake and ice cream...having outside helped with clean up!

Daddy and Elizabeth rolling around! We all had fun bouncing.

This was the mud Sunday morning after all the rain...Logan lost his balance as was basically making a "mud angel". I grabbed the camera and dad grabbed him!

New adventure

We have sign up to participate in a community garden with a local farm. They've had a blog for a while about their farm but I believe this summer community garden group will be the first. I just saw were they were going to be blogging about the CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) adventures so I've added them to our "list". We are looking forward to learning new things about gardening and all the yummy veggies!

Shirtless and sand time

Due to a little rain Elizabeth was excited to be able to build sand castle in her sand box.
After soaking his other out fit he managed to get back outside only half dressed.

How cute is he!

Healthy baby belly!

Sweety!
