Video with sound

Since both grandmothers asked where the sound was - here it is. It's the same video with sound except the end with her walking got cutt off. I'm thinking maybe a two minute limit on the hosting site. While editing the video to make it less than two minutes - I lost the sound and can't figure it out. If there is anyone out there that may know what I'm doing wrong let me know.

Look who's walking

Big girl shoes

After the free easter picture we went to check out shoes. We started with getting the foot (aka boat) measured. Turns out 5W, no wonder we had trouble getting the 3's to fit. So after finding this out mom feels guilty and decides if she's walking we should splurg for good shoes. While I go to pay Elizabeth percides to walk around the whole store, in her new shoes, pulling down all the display shoes. And this is how we came to get a second 'free' picture today - Elizabeth and her first pair of walking shoes!

Photo opps...

We went to get our "free" picture with the Easter bunny today. Which lead to the not so free shoe store visit. As we approached the bunny I felt Elizabeth tightening her grip so I was afraid it wasn't going to be good. But she proceeded to sit and take it all in. She kept turning into the bunny as to ask "who the heck are you and why am I on your lap?"

Road Trip

This past weekend we headed to Mobile to run the Azalea Trail 10k. We both ran well while Elizabeth chilled with the grandparents and aunt teresa. We headed over to Tom and Debbie's for a cookout Saturday with the Davis clan. Elizabeth was impressed with Uncle Tom's duck - just another taste to add to the palete.

Justin and I are so happy to have such a good eater. At this point the only things she has really turn her nose up to is eggs and we have given her a lot of different things, mushrooms, peas, beans, olives, tomatoes, veal, etc.

In the rush to leave Friday we forgot the camera so we are working on collecting some pictures from the weekend and will share them soon.

no more pictures!!

Beautiful day, sun's out, grass is green, new dress and Elizabeth was cute as always so we were hoping for some good pics before church. Turns out Elizabeth had other plans...basically anything besides staying still and smiling for the camera.

Come on Daddy...

walk faster. Elizabeth has become addicted to the finger...she wants to walk everywhere but only holding onto someone elses finger.

A day at the spa

After a long day at the parade it was time for a bubble bath. Mom told Dad if he put the tatoo on, he had to take it off before church in the morning. He got lucky and it came off quite easily.

St Pattys Day Parade

"Today I supported the wearin' of the green and went to the 6th annual Pitkin's Paddy Parade blow out. I got to catch even more beads, try some pasta jambalaya, dance for everyone, my first taste of jello, my first face tatoo (thanks Dad), and take a nap on the way home. Thanks Greg and Dawn for another great party!" - Lucky Little E

A whole lot of PINK!!

The three of us participated in the Race for the Cure race Saturday in downtown Baton Rouge. They estimated around 8000 runs/walkers and we believe it. As we finished the 5k there where some walkers just starting. Elizabeth enojyed the free yogurt and sun chips afterwards but wasn't so fond of the pink energizer bunny ears.

Sucess!!

As you can see the first race with Elizabeth was a sucess! She fell asleep shortly after Justin started and he managed to finish only a minute behind normal...and he says that was becasue of fighting the stroller through the crowd at the begining. They still managed to beet mom by about two minute.

Happy Birthday Grandma!!

We want to wish Grandma a very happy birthday - we missed sharing it in person by one day.

First steps!!

No pictures, but thought we'd share the news that Elizabeth took her first steps last night. Once in the kitchen walking from Dad to Mom and the other outside in the grass to Dad. Justin still says it was a set up and that she's been doing it all week in Naples but my parents can contest that she did not.

We had an uneventful trip home. Elizabeth is born to travel and both flights were smooth sailing.

End of a great week!

We had a great visit with the Grandma and Papa this week but the fun must come to an end. We have an early flight Tuesday and Dad is eagerly awaiting Elizabeth and maybe mom a little also.

And it begins...

As we approach 11 months, Elizabeth got her first birthday present and Easter dress from Aunt Flossie Saturday. As you can see she greatly enjoyed playing with the boxes and ribbon also.

Walking??

Daddy's biggest fear with our trip was not the travel but when Elizabeth would take her first step. She is so close but appears to have saved this feat for her father's eyes. She has improved her balance greatly though over the past week.

Right at home

After a week at the grandparents, Elizabeth is making herself right at home.

Playing with friends

On Wednesday, Elizabeth and I went to visit my friend Molly and her daughter Jordan who is 3 weeks older than Elizbeth. The girls had fun playing and having lunch together. Elizabeth also enjoyed the interaction of their dogs, Truman and Camero, since Auburn won't play with her. I forgot my camera but Molly posted some video and pictures.http://spelmanpics.blogspot.com/

The great outdoors

Elizabeth is enjoying the suuny warm weather since it means being outside. She just loves the feel of the wind in her hair.

Great, greats...

Elizabeth also met her great, great aunt and uncle, Lucile and Horace. Uncle Horace kept threating to take her home for some reason...we think because she's just so cute!!!

Oranges, oranges,

everywhere. So this is where those tasty orange balls came from at Christmas!

Taking a break...

After a lot of running around, Elizabeth slowed down for a few minutes to refuel. She wanted to remind everyone that it's the wide angle lense Papa used and the camera adds 10 pounds. She's really slimmer than her belly appears!

More family...

Elizabeth spent the day with her great aunts and uncles at her great grandmother's house. She met Aunt Wanda and Uncle Jimmy for the first time today!

Listen to me!!!

If you stop paying attention to me - I'll scream louder.

Swaying with the palms

It's not Palm Sunday yet but Elizabeth is playing with the palms.

Sunny...

and 85! Hey mom why didn't you pack me some shorts! Little E sweating as she mows.

Play time

We went and visited my friend Nicole and her kids. Elizabeth loved Tesa and just laughed and laughed. She even gave her kisses. Gracie was just taking it all in!

Like mother....

...like daughter. Some things don't change, even after thirty years!
