Oh...

This picture pretty much captures Elizabeth's week. This has been her latest face...she sounds like she's howling like an owl (not one of the animal sounds we work on) but we haven't quite figured out what it means yet.
And the cup...she's always had a preference for the cheap disposable cups. They don't have a valve so I think they are just easier for her to drink from. I like them too because they stack well. But after two days of full cups being split on the floor we made a trip to buy new cups with screw on lids. That's right, she figured out how to bite and pull on the lid to pop it off. Big mess that I don't want any more. Guess we should stop using our teeth to tear things open, they learn too fast from example!!
And last but not least the outfit! She got a package in the mail from my mom and for the first time showed a lot of interest in the clothes verse the book. It started with the AU rain jacket, she wanted to stick her arms in it so I helped her. She ran around for a little while and then came back with the T-shirt and kept tossing it too me and standing there so I tried to put it on with no fight. Most of the time the girl loves running around in her diaper and fights putting clothes on so this was truly a change of pace. I guess she's turning into a little girl who likes her clothes!

Gettin' in shape

Yes, we own an ab roller...haha. Elizabeth found it a while back and Shelby showed her how to use it. She decided to pull it out and do a little exercising around the kitchen. I guess she's getting her six pack ready for the beach!

Play time with Dad

Everytime Elizabeth goes out front with dad she ends up looking like this...

...my skirt is getting heavy and soggy???

How it all started...carefully watering the flowers.

Gooooooo

you Auburn tigers GO!!!

Up close...

...and personal.

War Eagle!!

As football season rounds the corner, Elizabeth thought she'd start spreading the Auburn spirt a little this week. As you can imagine in the middle of LSU country we get lots of comments. But she's so cute most comments are playful!
Yes, she's looking at her own pictures in her scrap book. For some reason she really enjoys doing this on a regular basis.

15 weeks to go!

That's right only 15 more weeks. I have given into peer pressure from my husband and friends and am posting a "profile" picture. I was hoping Elizabeth would make it better but I'm still not crazy about. While I enjoy being pregnant, I do not enjoy pictures of myself pregnant.
I had another uneventful doctor appointment today. Heartbeat was strong and am measuing right on track. I put on 4lbs in 4 weeks which is pretty good keeping the total at 13lbs. If I can keep it to 1lb a week I'll be on track with last time. Little King 2 is moving like crazy these days (and nights - not so found of that). He espcially enjoyed the sugar rush from the gluscose test this morning. Just the routine 1 hour test - I'm sure everything is fine but I won't hear back for a few days.

Backyard fun

Climbin'

Bows are not made for climbing!! I need pony tail for this!

Movin' up...

Elizabeth and I made a trip to the bow lady for some new big girl bows. She has gotten a lot better about wearing them so we thought it was time to get some a little more proportional to her head!

Bed time??

I was doing the dishes the other night when she started hanging on me. After she realized I wasn't going to pick her up immediately she proceeded to lay down on the tile. This convinced me I need to go put her to bed.

Car wash...

Elizabeth has become quite the helper around the house, it really amazes us how much she picks up on. When doing laundry she will go put things up - may or may not be the right drawer but hey she's trying to help. She picks up shoes and goes and puts them away without being asked. She picks up anything she thinks is trash and then goes to the door for us to open it so she can throw it away. The other night was no different when she helped her Dad wash both cars.
I don't think she had a dry thread left in her clothes or diaper!!

You have to be careful trying to talk to Elizabeth when she has a hold of the hose!! I learned the hard way.

She helped clean also but she found the hose most entertaining.

Just a rockin'

Here he goes again, using me for his entertainment - Little E trying to please her Dad

Bye Bye

Saying goodbye is always the worst part. Although short it was great seeing everyone!

Four generations

Sorry mom, but the one doing the posting gets to post the pictures with her eyes open!

Yum!

Papa knows the way to his granddaughter's heart...food!

Mine!!

Elizabeth holding on tight to her avacado's grandma and grandpa brought her fresh from Florida. The only problem is Elizabeth has taken to eating apples and peaches lately and she doesn't understand why she can't eat the avacado in the same way.

Sleeping beauty...

Thank goodness for king size beds! Once she passes out it's not too bad but while trying to fall asleep she doesn't stay still, spinning, rooting, etc. I was paranoid she was going to end up falling off the foot of the bed.
Thursday night before leaving Elizabeth woke up in the middle of the night all congested and couldn't sleep because she couldn't breath lying down. After Benadryl and an hour on the couch with mom she was able to go back to her own room.
Friday night, Justin terms as the second worst night she's had, only to the night we were in B'ham and she cut her first tooth. Once again she couldn't breath but worse yet could sleep and was exhausted. She just kept screaming because she wanted to sleep and the Benadryl wasn't helping clear her up. We spent two separate occasions on the recliner in the room and by 4am she finally passed out in our bed. The pack and play was used for less than two hours this trip.
So what's worse than a sick kid...being in a hotel room with a sick kid. My family across the hall said they never heard her but I'm sure the rooms on either side did!

Happy 90th!!!

Happy Birthday!

Grandma Snell and her brother (2 of 12 kids)

The spread!!
(This is my immediate(compared to the distant cousins that were all there) family on my dad's side that made the trip)
This past weekend we made a road trip to see my family and lots of them! My great uncle, Woodrow, celebrated his 90th birthday! He's my grandmother's older brother...we told her we'd be celebrating hers in a few years. It was great seeing everyone, it made the long trip worth it! I've got more stories and pictures to post but the need for sleep is greater right now...that's the beginning to one story!

Are we there yet??

I think there maybe a short cut through here Dad. - Elizabeth looking for a way to shorten the 7 hour car trip between Columbus, GA and Zachary.

While Daddy was off fishing this was Mom's project - matching outfits for Elizabeth and her brother!

6.5 Wide, oh my!

No wonder Elizabeth kept choosing the crocs over her other shoes lately...we were cramming her feet in size 5W. I'm sure the extra 1.5 gives her nice wiggle room. She was more in the mood for some action shots last night, showing off her running abilities in the new shoes! Although the fall fashions are out, we hit the summer shoes sales as it will be summer here for a quite a while longer!!

Our little monkey...

I was back in my bedroom and when I came around the corner this is what I found. Not the best picture but I tried to snap one quickly without smiling as to not incourage the behavior. She did this last night for the first time...I tried quickly turning things around and helping her climb on the couch but it's still a little too high for her.
