First swim meet

Elizabeth had her first swim meet today.  She’s on a new non-competitive team this year at our YMCA.  So it’s really not against another team but they just raced each other.  She’s one of the youngest on the team but holds her own.

Wiped

Sharing a bed with your sister leads to a sleepy boy.

Super Sunday

So we were in Auburn for Mia’s baptism Sunday but we had two other important events to celebrate that day!

Justin and I celebrated our 12th wedding anniversary.  So Justin had the great idea to get our pic at Toomers corner – where we got engaged!

We had Teresa with us to take the picture and the kids were running around.  She took a few with the phone and then switched cameras about the time Luke noticed.  He came over and stood next to me, then Logan notices he’s being left out and finally Elizabeth.  I guess you can call this our first family of “six” photo.  There’s no hiding the tummy now!

The sunny day didn’t make it the best picture day but you have to take any opportunity that comes along!

Daddy and his princess!!  Of course we were also celebrating Fathers day!  Nothing like waking up to three kids in a hotel room at 6:15 to say happy fathers day!  We’ll have to try and let him put his feet up this weekend because he defiantly deserves it.

Mia’s big day

Saturday morning we loaded up the car for tball and a road trip. We left the game and headed to Auburn.  On the way up there we realized we hadn’t seen Emily or Leslie since August! Way to long.

We didn’t get a ton of pics on our camera but we did get a few.

Ma and her great grandkids.  It was pointed out that it’s a good thing there’s another boy coming to help balance things out!

The kids had their own little party room!

And I found time to love on this little peanut!  She’s a beautiful little girl.

Luke decides he wants to throw a fit about leaving and sat down on the ground.  I said to him, “ Fine, we’ll just leave you here.”  Logan was next to me and turned to me with tears in his eyes and said we can’t leave Luke.  Then he proceeded to go attempt to drag Luke out of the garage.  Logan has always had the biggest heart and is defiantly our sensitive one.

We had about a 7 hr trip home Sunday.  Elizabeth and Logan fell asleep within an hour of leaving.  Luke on the other hand five hours and still going strong.  He never really fussed.  Just talking, screaming, babbling, eating, you name it.  His power nap in church that morning must have been good!  So we stop for dinner in Mississippi and then had another hour and a half home.  About the time we are rounding the dome I notice he had finally passed out – less than 30 min from home!  Luckily dad was able to get him into bed no problems.

In the books

Another year of t-ball is in the books.

Elizabeth got to play first for a few batters in the last inning.  After a few she started to get the hang of it.  Justin teased our friends that their son Mark (in the blue) needed to stop flirting with the first baseman.

VBS 2012

Elizabeth and Logan spent last week at VBS.  Its the same church Logan did MDO (Belle Chasse Baptist) at last year so he knew most of the teachers.  Both kids had several friends in their class and enjoyed it.  Friday night they did a final program for the parents and sang a few of the songs they learned.

Elizabeth’s class won best singers so they got to go back on stage for an encore “hokey pokey” performance.

20 weeks

How far along? 20 weeks
Baby's Size? Small cantaloupe - officially 12 oz per the ultrasound
Weight Gain? 10 lbs to date, and my swelling belly looks like 20lbs!
Maternity clothes? Oh yes! Love the fact I have great family which is cool with sharing everything! Means I can go buy a few special pieces for weddings and baptisms!!
Stretch marks? No new ones.
Belly Button in or out? Inny
Sleeping? It's hit or miss at night. Sinus have been a mess.
Foods I am loving? Nothing specific. Foods I'm hating? As always... nothing!
Movement? Love it. Still mostly internal. Kids are anxious to feel their little brother.
Best moment this week? Seeing our little one! It never gets old. Hearing the dr say everything looks great is always the best.
Symptoms? None really. Enjoying the second trimester!
Gender? It's a boy! My words as the dr was scanning, " is that what I think it is". She just started laughing! We asked Elizabeth to read what she had type and she read "I'm a boy". Logan was a little confused and said, " but I wanted a sister".
What I miss ? Adult beverages!! Its never really bothered me, nor do I drink much anyways but for some reason, maybe the hot summer, it just always looks refreshing.
What I'm looking forward to? Feeling the baby more regularly.
Emotions: Excited. Relieved. Much better having the ultra sound behind us.
Side Note: Uterus is measuring 22 wks so only a couple weeks ahead now so that good news too I like being closer to normal!

Farm trip

Despite not liking blueberries, Logan was a great picker! All three kids had a great time running around the farm w friends. They loved picking the corn too. I think because it was something new that we don't grow in our own back yard. Maybe next year, Dads been talking about!
