Slackers

OK, so we've been slack on the camera duty's lately. We just keep forgetting to bring the camera with us. Friday night we went to the lighting of the Christmas lights downtown Baton Rouge. Just a big street festival...several Santa's at the different government/historical sites. And of course in typical LA style a mini parade with throws (Christmas color beads, stuffed animals etc) We skipped out on the parade (Zachary is having their big Christmas parade this weekend if we are still able to make it). There was a live nativity with a few animals. Elizabeth got to feed the goats which she seems to enjoy.
Saturday was spent watching football for the most part...last weekend for that until bowls roll around. Unfortunately every team we were cheering for lost. Of course our everyone around here is ecstatic that LSU is back in the race! We'll cheer for them now as it will help the SEC!
Sunday we went to the LSU Rural Life Museum. It's open year round but they were having a Christmas day with bonfire and Papa Noel. They have a lot of old artifacts and history there. Along with a lot of activities for the older kids - they let them use a horse drawn plow, shoot old muskets, play washboards along with the band, etc.
The general plan of the weekend was to keeping moving and encourage Baby Boy to come. As you see he had other plans. I'm sure it will be worth the wait but we are all ready!!
