Well we are not home yet. Once again the picture tells the story.... We were supposed to get an early release on Sunday night and then ealry Monday morning. The nurse on Monday morning was concerned over Logan's breathing rate (between 90-100 per minute) and informed the Dr. The Dr. ordered a chest exray and blood work. The chest ex-ray was clear however one of the blood work tests was elevated. The Dr ordered a new blood culture and put Logan on antibiotics as a precation incase one of the bacteria shows up in the culture (see his poor club hand in the picture). The new blood culture is to check for 3 different types of bacteria and has a 48hr culture time. So until this culture comes back Logan (and us) will be at the hospital praying for the best. Other than that everything is going well (counting flowers on the wall, eating great hospital food, and sleeping the most comfortable beds known to man - I will post pictures of the torture devise they call a bed later).
Thanks for the prayers - Dad
we are so sorry to hear about that precious baby boy!! we will keep him in our prayers!!! give him a big hug from MIssouri!
ReplyDeleteWe went through the EXACT SAME situation with Preston and after trying forever to find a vein and taking antibiotics for precaution, the tests came back ok. Don't fret, you'll be home before you know it! We saw Elizabeth at storytime and I could tell she was missing ya'll!
