New excitement
I never thought I'd be excited about potty training...it's honestly something I dread.
But if things continue down the current path it may not be as hard as I thought, at least for Elizabeth. She has shown interest since this summer on vacation when she first used the "big" potty. And since then I've tried to have her at least sit on the big potty before bath time. The past couple days she's come to me multiple times at home and said "pee" while holding her tummy so we proceeded to take care of business. We are so proud!! Now I know we are a long way from truely being potty trained becasue it's the last thing from her mind when we are playing and busy but it's a start. Everything I read says not to start a task like that around be change - like a new sibling so we'll hold off on really trying until after the first of the year. The less time with two in diapers the better!!

Single digits...
We are down to single digits in our countdown!!! Not much room left to get any good pictures. His face is turned toward my back so this profile was the best they could do. And his little foot that's wedge in my left ribs these days. At 39 wks he estimated to be 7lb 14oz which is right in line with Elizabeth. No progress to report, still 1cm and soft. She says everything is a go, he just needs to drop and things will happen...so that's what we are praying for these days - baby boy to drop. My blood pressure was a little high for me...138/7? - she wasn't overly concerned but something she'll watch. I'll go back Tuesday and see where we are. She's open to inducing at any point now and went ahead and said 12/11 but I'm not 100% convinced about that yet...we'll see when/if we get there.

Why are you looking at me?
Knock on wood the tree hasn't been that big of an interest yet. I put a few non-breakable items low for her to play with so hopefully we'll be ok!
Ho, ho, ho...
Aka, Santa. Elizabeth says ho, ho, ho everytime she sees a Santa. We were optomistic about getting a good picture of Santa and Elizabeth since she eagerly walked up in awe of all the decorations. But when it came to sitting with Santa - dads arm was much more appealing so we settled for the family picture.

Black Friday
Elizabeth using her zoo key to learn more facts about the animals.
Riding the gator!
Where are we going dad??
Peek a boo...I see you!
Instead of shopping Friday we decided to head to the zoo. We got a season pass so now it's considered a "free" outing. They give you this key to "unlock" the zoo, it's included with the pass. We really didn't think it would be someting Elizabeth would understand but she picked it and would point out the little blue boxes to us. They each have some fun facts plus a jingle. Elizabeth loved the music as always and would just start dancing.

No, no we aren't having the baby, sorry to disappoint, just an ultrasound. We'll have a weight check ultrasound next week followed by another appointment. This week not much to report other than 4lb weight gain in one weeks - yikes!! Hopefully that's me and not the baby gaining that much weight. That's what I get for having a big breakfast on our way to the appointment. Still 1 cm so really no change. She said he's defiantly head down though which is always good. So it doesn't look like we will be having a turkey baby after all!!

First chore
Don't worry Dad I've got it...
only a few pieces at a time but she gets a full bowl eventualy.
only a few pieces at a time but she gets a full bowl eventualy.
Here you go Auburn!
Elizabeth has watched Justin come home every day and always is eager for him to feed Auburn. Recently she has decided she can do this herself. She goes out back to get the bowl, goes out to the garage, fills the bowl up (two scoops - several Elizabeth scoops), brings it in for help to add water, takes it out back and gives it to Auburn. And the cutest part is how proud she is of herself when she's done!!
Still cookin'
Elizabeth helped the doctor today with the Doppler to check her baby brothers heartbeat. Sounded nice and strong so Elizabeth turned it off. We are still both doing well. 1cm...so not much to report but at this point that's fine with me. In two weeks I'll sure I'll feel differently. We go back next Tuesday for another check - doctor is out for Thanksgiving so they are "squeezing" us in with another dr that's already booked so that may be a disastrous visit.
Comment for the week is the Walmart check out lady "Are you having twins?" If you don't already know this - never ask a pregnant woman if she's having twins, she'll tell you if she is.

Old gift...
What seems so long ago, seven years, when we got married we got this gift at the rehearsal. It was a "bucket oh stuff" put together by our friends. Anyways, one thing was this larger than life doll with auburn pjs on. You guest it - here they are! Some how I managed not to loose them and Elizabeth always seems to enjoy putting on new clothes. We got a good laugh from this "old gift"! Thanks to whoever contributed it!

Work in progress...
We have been slowlt working on putting together a room for the baby. We are keeping the guest bed in there for a little while since the baby will be with mom and dad for a while. And we have a feeling we'll need both the guest rooms for house guests over the next few weeks. The walls are still bare but it will all come together in time.
