Boy or Girl??
Just a quick update...we had another doctor appointment yesterday. It was one of those appointments where you wonder why you have to come in. Since I didn't have any questions for her, she simply checked the heartbeat which was strong and healthy, the little one didn't want to stay still according to the doctor it was jumping around - another active child on our hands!! I guess the most exciting part is we have our "Big" ultrasound scheduled for our next appointment. So we have four weeks to decide if we are going to find out the sex. Justin took the easy out and said whatever I want! I'm still on the fence which probably means we'll find out if we can. Neither of us are really care as long as we have another happy and healthy baby!

Auburn "doll"
Maybe someone else can remember what these stackable toys from Russia are called. I remember having one as a kid but don't recall the correct name. Name aside, Elizabeth loves putting them together and shaking them. And Mom and Dad think they are a pretty cool addition to our Auburn collection!!! War Eagle Thanks Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Susan!
Why what big teeth you have...
Stickers!!
Elizabeth got some stickers in the mail from Grandma. This is one of those times i should have grabbed the video camera instead because the pictures just don't show her excitement. Once she realized they would stick, she decided they should go on top of her feet. Then she pranced around the kitchen, looking at her foot, while squealing.
Is dinner ready yet??

Tea time!!!
Shelby is helping watch Elizabeth over the summer. They both are loving it. Tonight Shelby stopped by for some tomatoes and Elizabeth threw a fit becasue she didn't stay and play.
Final Day of Swim Class
Great form...
Ok, I think that was fun!!
Elizabeth has been the best kicker of the class from day one.
Today was the last day of swim class, thank goodness our camera man was able to make it and capture Elizabeth showing off her new skills. AU swim team here she comes!! They had balls out for them to play toss with so that was a big distraction for actually swimming. Elizabeth loves to throw the ball so she won't take her eyes off them.

Stories
All trips have their stories to share....
After taking a short stroll around New Orleans Sat we headed back to the hotel because we had 6:30 dinner reservation and needed to leave by 6:00. We had an idea of where it was but not exactly. So at 5:55 Justin grabs his coat thinking a shirt was under it only to find pants. So he has a suit and tie but no shirt!!! The blue polo he does have doesn't exactly go with his navy blue suit. We use to have an idea where things were pre Katrina but at this late time we didn't want to go "hunting" only to find the stores no longer there so we call the front desk and she suggests canal place a few blocks away. So we go and the only stores we see from the street are pottery barn, banana republic, and brooks brother. So I jump out of the car while Justin drives around in endless circles. I'm walking up and down the street looking for a door to banana republic but never found a door so knowing we are about to miss our reservations I head to brooks brothers. Now Justin only wears a dress shirt a hand full of times throughout the year which are typically your department store brands and he doesn't have a clue how much those cost becasue he doesn't shop. So i get in the car and he's like how much did you have to pay - $40? No honey, try double that but it's our anniversary so don't worry about it!! Then we head in the direction of the resturant and while we were never "lost" it took us a little while to find it. Better late than never!
Once at dinner we've ordered, had our soups, and out come our entrees. I'm like - "where's the appetizer?" (it was oysters so I wasn't skipping out on those!) The waiter was terribly embarrassed that he screwed up - that's not suppose to happen at fancy places -right?? They got it right out to us so not a big deal but to make up for it he brought us not one but four deserts!!! We were already full before that but we managed to try them all. Two really good, two not so good...So his mistake was defiantly our gain!!

Anniversary...
We celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary today also. While Elizabeth entertained the grandparents, we headed down to New Orleans for a relaxing evening. We had dinner at Commanders Palace and stayed at Maison Duprey. We checked out the french market Saturday and got Elizabeth a little hand made doll for a souvenir. One day she may like dolls! We adventured down Bourbon St Saturday night to take in the sights (and smells -yuk) but it was quite different when your pregnant! We still had an enjoyable evening. Sunday we got up and headed to Cafe du Monde's for beignets and then to church at St Louis Cathedral.
Tomaotes, tomatoes everywhere...
Every one's probably tired of our produce pictures but it's a everyday event these days in our lives. Elizabeth must carry something inside each time in both hands. Friday night she helped me fill this bowl full and insisted it seeing them once we got inside.
You can see why our tomatoes are sooo sweet. Elizabeth inspects each one with a kiss!!
Dad is very proud of his one pounder!! We easily have over a hundred tomatoes, not including the ones we've give to neighbors, work, and all the cherry and grape tomatoes that are too many to count.
I love packages!!

Run Daddy Run!!
Swim class - Day 2
Sorry but the photographer couldn't make it today so no pictures. Elizabeth got to "jump" in the pool today (jump = a coaxed lean toward the water) but either way she was all smiles the whole time. She may not have the longest legs of the class but she can kick and splash with the best of them. She also put her lips in the water after a lot of encouragement from the instructor - yeah Elizabeth!!

Swim class - Day 1
Day one a success! We were not quite sure what to expect from Elizabeth because we've had mixed experiences with water. Today was a pleasant surprise as Elizabeth appeared to enjoy the whole class and wasn't too excited about getting out. She kicked on her back and kicked on her belly. The only thing we weren't successful with was blowing bubbles but it's the first day!!
She did work up an appetite and managed to polish off a plate full of bambi! Thanks Papa!

Tomatoes....
Tomatoes, tomatoes, tomatoes...We can tell the ones Elizabeth picked out of the bunch (the green ones!!). This is just one day's pick. We made fresh salsa Saturday which Elizabeth liked, jalapenos and all. She seems to like anything you can dip these days. She likes to bite the cherry and grape tomatoes but isn't crazy about actually eating them - maybe the acid or the "squirt" of tomatoes seeds.

Our little redneck
Yes, go ahead and laugh at our daughter in her camo and jean shorts!! That's only half the outfit. We'll break out the rest at a later date. This was sunday afternoon play time in the back yard. It was pretty hot out so I gave her a lemonade popsicle and she loved it. Didn't want to give up the stick when it was gone.
I was proud of my great find in the $1 bins at target. It's a six pack popsicle set similar to what tubbaware use to have when we were growing up. Big hit!

First Certificate
Elizabeth was awarded her first certificate today from the Zachary Library. As part of the summer reading program each child was asked to read a minimum of 10 books (which isn't real hard at this age). So she turned in her reading log today and she got this certificate and a bag of other goodies such as free kids meals, fries, bowling, museum and zoo trips, etc.
Earlier in the week she attended Farmer Minor and Daisy the reading pig. http://www.daisyminor.com/ Basically it's a traveling show that promotes reading. Elizabeth petted the pig but wasn't so sure about giving it a kiss! One of these days we'll remember to take the camera to storytime.
