This was Sunday morning in the surf.

Of course one reason for the last minute beach trip, besides just really needing a break from house projects, was the unknown of what the oil will do to the beaches the remainder of the summer. For us, Friday and Sat morning beach was just fine, no signs of oil. Later Sat afternoon other guest at the condo were talking about it so of course we had to check it out. (And no, we didn't take the kids any where near the beach once they said the oil was there but it didn't slow others down from swimming in it!) Sure enough it had rolled that way in just a few short hours. Sat evening it was very thick, large globs of what looked like chocolate. Sunday morning we took the camera to take these pictures but what was in the surf was much smaller, granular than the day before.
