We have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. All our prayers were answered for logan and his "bump", we have two beautiful, healthy children, lots of thoughtful, loving family, and more blessings than we can count!
Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!

Elizabeth has become quite the little biker. She loves riding to see the ducks at the pond. And you can see Logan's not far behind!

Family Tradition
So I'm not really sure how old of a family tradition this really is but as long as I can remember we've always make "Icebox fruit cake" for Christmas. You make it around Thanksgiving and then refrigerate until Christmas. Justin laughs because there's really no fruit, dried or other wise, and it's not really a cake either. More like a candy, slice and eat cookie...but what ever you call it, I like and so did Elizabeth when she helped make it for the first time this year! So it's in frig and we'll break it out when Christmas is closer.
Wi Willy the Second
We are beginning to think he is taking after his Uncle Bry and becoming accident prone! Every time we turn around he has another injury, bump or bruise! We are not too hopeful that 2009 will be any less of an adventure for him.
This was Sunday night and you can see it looks much better!

Take my breath away dinner!
I took fish out for dinner tonight so when Justin got home I asked what we should do with it?? He said "let's try blackening it". I'm thinking not so hard, it's a very common menu item around here. So I jump online and find a "cajun" recipe for blackening fish. You make up a little spice rub and then cook in butter on a hot cast iron. Easy enough right...well we started and after a few minutes there was a little smoke and i started coughing as I stood over the stove. I didn't think much of it because there was a lot of cayenne pepper. Next thing I know Justin says I think we need to open the window...and shortly after that Elizabeth starts coughing...and then Logan. It was as if cayenne pepper was in the air. The whole house was a cloud of spicy smoke. You were alright if you breathed through your nose but if you took a big breath in your mouth - your breath was gone!! So we coughed our way through dinner with all three doors and several windows open. By the time dinner was over the air had cleared for the most part. As for the food...Justin really liked the fish, it was a little too blackened and spicy for me. The kids stuck with soy beans and potatoes...there appetites are still recovering from the stomach bug.

Off
14 and counting
We have a strong suspicion Logan's first 14 stitches won't be his last. He loves to climb, climb, climb, any where he can get he's legs up.
