Thought I'd share a little background on the video below. As you can see Elizabeth has the worm moves down to a science - if she wants to get something she can. Funny thing is she never 'wants' a toy - it's either something mommy or daddy don't want her to play with (books, remote, cell phone, glasses, etc) or food. In the video is a package of Teddy Grahms our neighbor brought over for Elizabeth (along with dinner for mom and dad). Funny side note on the cell phone, Dad let her slober all over it yesterday before realizing just how much drool she had going on. After he took it away it started beeping for no apparent reason. Evidently it got a little too wet and had to dry out a few hours but now appears to be working again. Back to the crawling, over the past few days she has made a few short moves actually crawling, moving hands and keeping the belly up. It appears for now though, that is hard work and she finds the worm more appealing when she really wants to go fast.
Her other favorite move right now is walking around the coffee table and if we are sitting on the couch she'll bravely go back and forth between the two. The biggest draw back to this is she has taken some spills along the way but I guess that's part of the learning curve. I think they hurt mom worse than her. Luckily no battle scars yet!
