Oak Alley Plantation

This past Sunday we went to the arts and crafts show @ Oak Alley plantation. Elizabeth was not that interested in the crafts but like her parents was in aww of the oak trees. The pictures do not do justice to the oak trees."Hopefully my Toomer's Corner oak tree will get as big as these one day" - Little E hoping mommy and daddy keep her Toomers Corner oak tree from her aunt Teresa alive.

Walk for ALS

We went and walked along the Mississippi with the GP team for ALS. It was a beautiful fall like morning - its nice to finally be cooling down into the 70's. Thanks Greg and Dawn for the great post walk get together.
Story Time

We go to story time at the library every week and they had a Halloween party the other night. This is Miss BJ - yes she looks a little crazy dressed up but Elizabeth really seems to enjoy listening to stories with her.

Its that one of ours???

"Hey is that little one one of ours?" - Confused Giraffes trying to figure out what is going on.
The Zoo in Baton Rouge had their annual Boo @ the Zoo, so we decided to take Elizbeth to bond with her costumes originators. We thought this might inspire her to play the role of a Giraffe better. We all know tall and lanky is not what Elizabeth will be when she grows up, so there will always be this halloween!
Needless to say she WAS the best dressed baby/kid @ the zoo today. The BREC Zoo employees ohhed and ahhed at her all day long like she was an exhibit.
Baa Baa Black sheep
"I know its a goat, but baa baa black sheep sounds better" - Little E at the petting part of the zoo, for some reason this goat was really interested in mommy???
Scarecrow?

"I am not too sure about this... I do not think they are real but they are still creepy." - Little E not feeling the love during the Scarecrow photo op
Boo @ the Zoo

"I am at the zoo and trying to fit in with the Giraffes." - Little E as the best dressed baby at the zoo
Approved
It looks like Elizabeth's new car seat passes the test...she had no problems passing out during the 5 minute trip home from church.
Pulling up...
Elizaebth pulled up on her own on the coffee table the other night although she still prefers to use Mom and Dad.

Family Portrait

Our church was putting together a new directory so I couldn't miss the opprotunity for a family photo!! They are about a month old now but I just figured out the scanner. The indiviuals of Elizabeth weren't real good so that saved us some money!
Flashback

I was looking through some old pictures Justin's mom gave me...I'm begining to see why everyone thinks Elizabeth and Daddy look alike - I think its the cheeks.

Happy Half Birthday!!
That's right Elizabeth is six months today!
At birth...
one.......

two months....

three months...

four months...

five months....

...and six months.
She had her six month check up today. Dr Santos said she is a healthy, happy, and active kid. All her movement has slowed down her weight gain so she's trimming down some. She was 18lb 4 oz and 25.5 inches.
